Ghana eVisa · Assistance service

Ghana's new eVisa, sorted before you fly.

Ghana launched a brand-new eVisa system in May 2026 — embassy queues are out, online applications are in. New portals mean new pitfalls. We review your documents, lodge your application correctly on the official system, and track it until your eVisa lands in your inbox.

Do you need a Ghana eVisa?

Select the passport you'll travel on. Answer based on current rules — verified July 2026.

How it works

Five steps from enquiry to approved eVisa. We handle the fiddly parts — you plan Accra, Kakum and Cape Coast.

STEP 1

Tell us your trip

Complete our simplified form — about 10 minutes, in plain English, with examples for every field.

STEP 2

Upload documents

Passport bio page, photo, yellow fever certificate, travel plans. We check every file before lodgement.

STEP 3

We fix & lodge

We correct common rejection triggers (blurry scans, mismatched dates, photo spec) and lodge on the official government system.

STEP 4

We track it

You get status updates by email or WhatsApp. If immigration asks for anything more, we handle the back-and-forth.

STEP 5

eVisa delivered

Your approved eVisa arrives by email. Print it or present it digitally at boarding and on arrival.

Why travellers use us instead of going direct

You can absolutely apply yourself at evisa.immigration.gov.gh — we say so at the top of every page. Here's the value we add for US$35.

🛡️ Rejection-proofing

The most common reasons applications bounce are avoidable: blurry passport scans, photos that don't meet spec, missing yellow fever certificates, travel dates that don't match. We catch these before lodgement — because the US$260 government fee is non-refundable once paid, a bounced DIY application is an expensive mistake.

💬 A human who answers

The official portal has no one to call when something goes wrong. With us you get email and WhatsApp support from a real person — including after approval, right up to the airport check-in desk. Reach us any time at support@ghanaevisa.org.

🆕 We know the new system

Ghana's eVisa portal launched on 25 May 2026, replacing embassy applications almost overnight. Brand-new government systems come with quirks, outages and evolving requirements. We work in it every day, so your application follows this week's rules — not a pre-2026 blog post.

📝 One simple form

The government system asks for entry categories, sponsor details and document codes across multiple screens. Our form takes about 10 minutes in plain English, with examples for every field — we translate your answers into what the official system needs.

🔁 We handle the back-and-forth

If immigration requests extra documents or something needs correcting, we manage the resubmission for you at no extra charge — you don't start over or decode official notification letters alone.

💰 Fair-play guarantee

Fees itemised on every screen and every receipt: government fee + our flat US$35 service fee, nothing hidden. If we fail to lodge your application, everything is refunded in full. And if you'd rather apply yourself, the official portal is linked right at the top of this page.

Transparent pricing

The government fee is the same whether you use us or not — our service fee is what you pay for the pre-check, lodgement, tracking and support. Every invoice itemises both.

Frequently asked questions

No. We are an independent, privately owned assistance service. The official Government of Ghana portal is evisa.immigration.gov.gh, where you can apply yourself and pay only the government fee. People use our service for the document pre-check, correct lodgement, tracking, and human support.
On 25 May 2026 Ghana launched a national eVisa portal, moving visa applications online for travellers from 190+ countries. Instead of applying through an embassy, eligible travellers now apply, pay and receive their visa electronically. At the same time, Ghana waived visa fees for all African passport holders, who use a free electronic travel authorisation instead.
The government fee for a single-entry eVisa is US$260 with standard processing (3–5 business days), US$338 for 48-hour priority, or US$442 for 5-hour express. A multiple-entry eVisa starts at US$468. Our service fee is a flat US$35 on top, itemised separately on every receipt. African passport holders pay no government visa fee at all — apply free at the official portal.
Standard processing is 3–5 business days after lodgement, and the government also offers 48-hour priority and 5-hour express tiers at higher fees. The system is new (launched May 2026), so we recommend applying at least 2 weeks before travel to leave room for corrections or requests for more documents.
Yes. Ghana requires proof of yellow fever vaccination from travellers, and it's checked both in the eVisa application and on arrival. Get vaccinated at least 10 days before travel — the certificate becomes valid 10 days after the shot. We check your certificate as part of the document review.
Approval decisions are made solely by the Ghana Immigration Service — no agency can guarantee approval, and be wary of any that claims to. If a refusal happens, we help you understand the stated reasons and re-apply where viable. Government fees are non-refundable once lodged, per government policy.
Your approved eVisa is emailed to you. Print it or save it on your phone — airlines check it at boarding, and border officers verify it on arrival at Kotoka International Airport or your land border crossing. Carry your yellow fever certificate too; it's checked separately on arrival.
All fees, processing times and requirements on this page were verified against official Ghanaian government sources in July 2026. Entry rules change — especially on a system this new — so we re-verify continuously and before lodging every application.
Email us any time at support@ghanaevisa.org — a real person replies, usually within a few hours. Once your application is under way we can also help by WhatsApp.
